Q. What are the advantages of using Minwax® Express Color?
With Minwax® Express Color, you can finish a project in one easy step. Just wipe on, let it dry and you are done. Minwax® Express Color takes about an hour to dry. It is low odor and cleans up with soap and water.
Q. How do I apply Minwax® Express Color?
Minwax® Express Color is very easy to use. Wipe on the product to bare wood using a clean, lint free cloth, moving in the direction of the wood grain. Wipe away the excess, in the direction of the wood grain, with a clean cloth. Let it dry for an hour and you are done!
Q. How many colors is Minwax® Express Color offered in?
Minwax® Express color is available in 4 wood tone colors and 4 contemporary colors.
Q. If I want extra protection, can I apply a clear topcoat over Minwax® Express Color?
Yes, for extra protection without adding more color, wait three hours after applying Minwax® Express Color, then you can apply Minwax® Polycrylic®, Minwax® Water Based Oil-Modified Polyurethane, or Minwax® Water Based Wipe-On Poly.
Directions

SURFACE PREPARATION
- Sand the wood smooth.
- Remove all sanding dust.
STAIN APPLICATION
- Shake the tube.
- Squeeze the tube gently, and apply to the wood with a soft, clean cloth.
- Remove excess by wiping lightly, in the direction of the wood grain, with a clean cloth.
- For a deeper color and sheen, wait one hour then apply a second coat.
- Wait overnight before subjecting the wood to normal use.
- For extra durability without added color, wait three hours, then apply a coat of Minwax® Polycrylic® Protective Finish, Minwax® Water Based Oil-Modified Polyurethane, or Minwax® Water Based Wipe-on Poly following the product directions.
