Q. What is Minwax® 350 V.O.C. Compliant Super Fast-Drying Polyurethane For Floors?
Minwax® 350 V.O.C. Compliant Super Fast-Drying Polyurethane For Floors is a clear, oil-based, durable protective finish specifically formulated for hardwood floors. It applies more easily than regular polyurethane on floor surfaces. It gives long lasting protection and beauty to floors in a super fast-drying, easy to apply formula that levels to a smooth, even sheen.
Q. Do I get the same protection with the 350 V.O.C. formula as I do with the 450 V.O.C. formula?
Yes. You'll receive the same long-lasting beauty and protection with the 350 V.O.C. product as you have for years with the 450 V.O.C. product.
Q. What are the advantages to using this product versus an all-purpose polyurethane?
There is no sanding required between coats and the advanced anti-settling formula ensures less stirring with fewer highs and lows across large surfaces.
Q. Do I apply the 350 V.O.C. product the same way I apply the 450 V.O.C. product?
The application process of the 350 V.O.C. product is the same as that of the 450 V.O.C. product with only a slight difference in recoat time. The 450 V.O.C. product can be recoated in 3-4 hours, where the 350 V.O.C. product can be recoated at 6-8 hours. This is significantly faster than other 350 V.O.C. oil-based polyurethanes currently available.
Q. Sanding is not required between coats. What if I want an ultra-smooth finish? Can I sand if I choose to?
While sanding is not required between coats, for maximum smoothness, you may still choose to sand. If you do sand between coats, we recommend that you allow 8 hours dry time before sanding.
Q. How many coats of 350 V.O.C. Super Fast-Drying Polyurethane For Floors do I need to apply?
Two coats are suggested on stained or sealed wood. If the floor was not stained or sealed, three coats are recommended.
WARNING! Removal of old paint by sanding, scraping or other means may generate dust or fumes that contain lead. Exposure to lead dust or fumes may cause brain damage or other adverse health effects, especially in children or pregnant women. Controlling exposure to lead or other hazardous substances requires the use of proper protective equipment such as a properly fitted respirator (NIOSH approved) and proper containment and cleanup. For more information, call the National Lead Information Center at 1-800-424-LEAD (in US) or contact your local health authority.

Coverage: Approximately 600-700 square feet per gallon.
Notes: Above dry times are based on good ventilation, temperature of 77°F and 50% relative humidity. Lower temperature, higher humidity, lack of ventilation or application of thick coats will extend dry time. Slight ambering may be experienced when polyurethane is applied over light-colored wood surfaces. Always spot test on an inconspicuous area to ensure satisfactory results.
